This book was written for the children and friends of military soldiers. To help explain the daily in and outs of Soldiers activity so that children can identify their questions and concerns for their parents, friends, and family. I hope this book can also be used as a tool for parents, to help children understand their family members role outside of the household and identify that their parent is a Soldier.

As a father of 3 sons I understand the difficulties of trying to explain to a 3 year old what PT is, (Physical Training). And why Dad and all of his friends wear the same clothes everyday. This is where the idea of "My Dad Is A Soldier" came from.

My name is Staff Sergeant Dustin Olverson, I was born in Cincinnati Ohio on May 26, 1976. I am currently serving in the United States Army on active duty and have been married for 13 years, to my wife Margarita. My 3 sons are Christopher, David, and Aden Olverson. I have served in Operation Joint Endeavor/Joint Guard, Hurricane Katrina, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

I Love My Soldier logo is a symbol of children's books for American Soldiers and family members.

The Heart stands for the love towards our family. The American flag represents the dedication and sacrifice for our country.

And the slogan Putting Big Ideas Into Action is the motto of our children's book thought process.
